Title: Aesthetics of Restorative Composites – Dr. Dulgheru Elena, Dr. Bunea Andreea, Sef Lucrari Dr Elisei Gabriela 

Dulgheru Elena graduated the Faculty of Dentistry at the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest in 2024, currently being a resident in the specialty of General Dentistry at the “Vasile Goldiș” Western University in Arad.

She focuses her activity on oral and dental prevention, pursuing the optimization of minimally invasive treatments, as well as dental aesthetics.

“Aesthetics of Restorative Composites” analyzes the importance of the aesthetic aspect of composite materials, especially in the restorations of the maxillary anterior area. The factors on which obtaining an optimal result is based are both the correct choice of materials (their color and the harmony between them and the natural tooth from several perspectives), and the use of an appropriate technique for their application.

Two cases were selected in which the treatment option by direct veneering with different materials from the class of nanohybrid and nanofilling composites was chosen.

The results indicated that nanohybrid materials offer better stability over time, with a more accurate color match, increased resistance to discoloration and a superior surface texture compared to nanofilling composites.

The conclusion of the paper emphasizes the fact that the aesthetics of restorations made with composite materials depends on several factors, having particular imzortance in facial aesthetics.
