Beyond Radiography: Artificial Intelligence and the Digital Revolution in Modern Endodontics

Technological advances over the past decade have led to a significant transformation in endodontic practice through the integration of digital technologies and artificial intelligence-based tools. These innovations offer new opportunities to improve diagnostic accuracy and optimize endodontic treatment planning. Three-dimensional imaging, particularly through the use of Cone Beam Computed Tomography, allows for a detailed assessment of root canal anatomy and periapical pathologies, overcoming the limitations of conventional imaging methods. At the same time, artificial intelligence applications can facilitate the analysis of radiographic images, contributing to the faster and more accurate identification of pathological changes.

This presentation aims to highlight the role of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in endodontic diagnosis and treatment, as well as their impact on increasing the predictability of clinical outcomes and on the future development of endodontic practice.
