The essential characteristic of the marginal periodontium in children is its continuous remodeling until maturation.The eruption phenomena of temporary teeth as well as those of resorption are accompanied by gingival changes: gingival inflammation, fibrillar remodeling, temporary sequences of cementogenesis.Although these gingival conditions are not very common in children, they can take various forms, more or less serious with particular clinical manifestations and a specific treatment for children.
