Title: Space management in mixed dentition

The increased incidence of dental caries in children results in the early extraction of temporary teeth due to complications that occur frequently. The consequences of early tooth loss are determining factors in the occurrence of dento-maxillary abnormalities that can only be treated by longer and more expensive orthodontic measures. Space maintainers are a much more convenient way to prevent these anomalies. In this way, the principle of modern medicine is respected, namely: prevention is cheaper than treatment.
